Microphone. During setup the app offers a short sound check that listens for about 20 seconds to estimate how loud your snoring is, so your exercise plan can be built around a measured baseline. The audio is processed on your device as it is captured and is never saved to a file, uploaded, or shared — only a single loudness value is kept, on your device. The sound check is entirely optional: you can decline the permission or skip the step, and the app will build your plan from your questionnaire answers instead.
